Access Wayfinder is a platform that addresses a crucial need by providing detailed information about the accessibility of local businesses and points of interest before visiting them. The platform conducts interviews with businesses to gather data about their accessibility, particularly in cases where accommodations may not meet ADA standards due to the historical nature of buildings.

Detailing the inquiries made during these visits and calls to local establishments:

• Availability of step-free entrance and adequate width
• Interior space considerations for wheelchair access
• Presence of nearby accessible parking options
• Inclusive restroom facilities
• Availability of seating for individuals requiring rest

Access Wayfinder aims to enhance the experience of individuals with physical challenges and encourages businesses to expand their accessibility efforts. Implementing simple measures like installing ramps or optimizing table layouts contributes significantly to smoother visiting experiences for all individuals.

The platform's future endeavors include expanding beyond its current scope and offering guides for additional cities. Through an integrated Google Form, users can contribute by rating the accessibility of places they visit, fostering community support for inclusive environments.

Access Wayfinder was founded by Krishav Singla, with Ethan Lung as the co-developer.
